This photo was taken in our shop about 1885.  Subject appears to be foreign military, possibly Northern European or is possibly a member of a local sport shooting group.  This one was found in an online auction.

Update:  Through research at the Leavenworth Public Library, I discovered that this man is Christian Schmidt.  He was born in Brandenburg, Germany, December 7, 1860. He lived in Leavenworth City from 1884 until his death on August 9, 1905.  Schmidt was a miner.  Cause of death was tuberculosis.  He is entered at Greenwood Cemetery, which is now an abandoned city owned cemetery.
