USMC Unit Photo 1900 era Honolulu Hawaii

I know little about this photo other than what is gathered through observation.  It was found mixed in with old magazines.  It is a CDV that measures 12 3/4x10 1/2".  It is embossed " R.W. Perkins Honolulu".  What can be seen is that the men are armed with Krag rifles and are wearing what appears to be M1889 campaign hats.  The tunics have high collars and the pockets are scalloped.  The three flags to the right of the formation read USMC.  The US flag at center appears to have fewer than 48 stars.  There is some water staining to the card, but the image is unaffected.  Could make a good research project!
