This is an outstanding mid 1840's era Militia officer's eagle belt buckle. This is a wonderful example in fantastic condition that I guaranteed to be 100% original. The buckle's casting is very good. About 80% of the original gilt finish is intact. High points still have sharp details. No makers markings. This beauty would make a great center piece to any belt buckle collection. .
