WWI era painted helmet.  Shell was brush painted olive green over the factory color and the insignia for the 342nd MG Battalion was hand applied.  The colors for the 342nd are reversed from the standard blue then red pattern inside the "W".  One side is considerably more faded from sun exposure.  Liner is loose from the shell, no chinstrap.
