WWII US M1 Helmet Swivel Bale 1950's Rework
Item: PW706

Late-war M1 helmet shell.  Has a front seam, manganese rim, swivel bales.  Chin straps are khaki sew-on with darkened fittings.  Shell was repainted in a smooth OD finish with Lt. Col. decal affixed to the front.  Only markings I can read on the shell are "962E" to the inside front.  Liner is also a WWII Firestone make.  Has all WWII era webbing intact.  Also had the leather chinstrap which is tucked into the liner, undamaged.  Outer shell was repainted in the 1950's to a dark OD green and had attached Lt. Col. decal to the front.
