WWII US M1 Helmet Fixed Bale Complete
Item: WWII2827

Early war M1 helmet.  Has a front seam, stainless steel rim, fixed bales.  Chin straps are khaki sew-on with early brass buckle.  Original paint is OD with cork aggregate mixed in.  McCord manufactured shell numbered 300B.  Fine uncleaned and unaltered example.  May have had something writen to the front, but it is no longer legable.  Shell has one vertical crack to the rear and some light oxidation on the inner shell.  The liner is an MSA.  Has all the straps and webbing intact.  Has an early Carr marked leather chin strap with brass fittings.  Liner was repainted late war or possably early 1950's.  Missing sweatband.  Liner clips have some oxidation.  Good looking helmet.
