WWII US M1 Helmet Fixed Bale Complete
Item: WWII7539

Early war M1 helmet.  Has a front seam, stainless steel rim, fixed bales.  Chin straps are khaki sew-on with darkened steel buckle.  Original paint is OD with cork aggregate mixed in.  McCord manufactured shell numbered 720B.  Back of lid has painted on white numerals that appear to be, "1110".  Fine uncleaned and unaltered example.  The liner is a Westinghouse.  Has all the straps and webbing intact.  Has an "Dot" marked leather chin strap.  Liner has its original OD paint, nape strap and sweatband.  Good looking helmet.
