WWII German Enlisted Visor Cap Officer
Item: GM1126

 Original German army infantry enlisted man's visor cap.  This cap was manufactured by Hitzenbuhler of Augsburg.  Cap has an aluminum eagle and cockade.  Black leather cord is fully intact.  Liner and sweatband and sweat shield are intact.  Sweat shield maker's information is faint and has original owner's name.    The cap has had the sweatband stitch reinforced along the visor.  Additionally, the white waffenfarbe appears discolored in places, has a greenish hue perhaps from being moist and colors running.  It is not size marked but, appears to be about 57.  Presents well when on a hat form, frame is a little misshapen without support of a form.
