WWII German NSKK Crash Helmet
Item: GM245

Original pre-WWII era NSKK motorcycle crash helmet.  Padded leather shell with neck and ear flaps.  Has the early eagle insignia.  Only marking is size stamp on the liner, 56.  Helmet shell is in pretty good shape, typical wear to be expected from age.  Visor is slightly misshapen and has some indentions on the exterior surface.  The eagle was reapplied crocked.  It was also repaired, the left wing being reattached.  Only three prongs remain from the original six and two of the backing plates for the prongs are missing.  Additionally, a repair was made to the left ear flap which became separated.  Finally, the vent screens are missing from both sides of the shell.
