Original M42 helmet. Has its original factory finish that appears to have been lightly sanded possably to remove surface oxidation. No decals. Original leather liner is intact, still supple. Chin strap is present held in with twine that matches type used to chince the liner band fingers, missing the retaining button and strap end which would receive the buckle. Shell is marked Hkp 64 on back rim with lot numbers 5494.
