German NSKK Coffee Can Cap Hat
Item: GM2931

This is an original coffee can style olive green and black wool NSKK service cap.  The top edge of the side and back panels and the crown edge are piped in chocolate brown wool. Each side of the cap has a place for two black painted metal ventilation grommets, one is missing from the left side. Front of the cap has a second pattern, NSKK eagle which has some damage to the woven silver wire features. Blow the eagle is a silvered button. The black leather chinstrap with two black painted metal buttons are intact.  Cap has a black pressed cardboard stiffener to the sides.  It is lined in orangish/tan oil cloth.  Sweatband is fully intact but has several tears.  Underneath the sweatband is the original RZM tag.  It is constructed from a pressed paper.  Size 55 is stamped to the crown.  There is a bit of a wrinkle just below the top which is a result from improper storage.  Over-all, very nice cap.
