Original M42 helmet.  Has its original factory finish as the base coat.   Never had decals.  Original leather liner is partially intact.  Chin strap is missing.  Shell is marked NS64 on back rim with lot numbers D546.  The shell was camouflaged in the Normandy patter with spots of green and maroon/brown.  The pattern is obvious in direct sunlight, more difficult to discern indoors without proper lighting.  Named to the inner rear edge.   Nice original helmet.
