Original 1 Peso note from Japanese occupied Philippians. This note was stamped by the Japanese War Notes Claimants Association of the Philippines, Inc. "JAPWANCAP" which was an organization formed January 8, 1953 by Al Alcede, with the promise that the worthless invasion currency would be redeemable with legal tender. People would join the organization and turn their invasion currency over to the organization which would bill the depositor for storage and charged a fee for the issuance of a certificate of registration. It has been circulated and shows heavy wear.
