French infantry Briquet sword and scabbard.  Blade is bright with some dark spots through-out.  Handle is brass.  I found no markings on the sword.  Scabbard leather's finish has flaking, but is intact and fits the blade snugly.  Blade measures 26" long with overall length measuring 30 1/2".
